The 112km Discover South Sportive is a spectacular full-distance challenge designed for riders who want to experience the very best of Southern Scotland’s dramatic terrain. Combining long, sweeping roads with tough climbs and fast descents, this route delivers a true sportive experience—rewarding, scenic, and unforgettable.

The course weaves through the quiet backroads of the Southern Uplands, offering panoramic views and a sense of remote adventure from the very first kilometres. Riders will tackle a series of rolling hills that build toward the route’s signature feature: the ascent over Mennock Pass. Approached deep into the ride, this climb demands focus and resilience, rising steadily through a wide, open valley framed by rugged hillsides. It’s one of Scotland’s most atmospheric climbs—and reaching the summit feels like a real achievement.
